#5...

I finished #5 of my 25 projects last night, Lizzie Kate's Peace Flip-It. I just need to trim the fabric and put it in the tuck ornament, and it will be ready to hang on the tree. I've added it to the huge list of projects that I need to have DH take a picutre of, so I can add it to my website. I'm hoping to get the ornaments that I sent off to be finished at the beginning of the month back today. I'm slowly getting my ornaments finished this year. I need to get more backing fabric for a few more, so I can get them sent off.

I'm still working on Harvest Blooms, but I haven't picked it up since Sunday afternoon. I'm really trying to get the LK Blessings Flip-It series done in the next week or so. I only have two left to stitch, Faith and Family, and they will be done. I'm thinking about stitching the freebie chart, that you received if you purchased the 12 Flip-Its, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I have the fabric and fibers for it, so I probably will end up stitching it at some point.

A damp, rainy day...

The perfect day to stay inside to stitch. I've already been out and about today, and I have plans to go out again in a couple of hours. I started a new project last week, Hands To Work's "Harvest Blooms". A dear friend sent it to me all kitted up and I just couldn't resist. I made a really good head way on it the first couple of days, but haven't picked it up all weekend.

I'm still feeling a bit guilty because I still haven't completed all of my goals for the month and this is the second new project that I've started. So, I'm going to iron the fabric for another of the Lizzie Kate Blessing Flip-Its when I get done with this post. I think I'm going to take it with me tonight, and see how much I can get done. If nothing else, tomorrow is Elf Night, so I'll be working on it then. I'd really like to get the last three of the LK series done, not only to have all of them done, but also because that will be three more projects on the road to my twenty-five. I've pulled out the "Peace" chart, and it doesn't look like it will take very long. It appears to have less colors in it, then some of the ones that I've already done.

I love this time in the magazine schedule. I have a couple of weeks to catch up on everything that I wish I had time to stitch when it's "deadline" time. We had so much that we had to hold from the Nov/Dec issue, that the Jan/Feb shouldn't be that hard to do. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

A Guilty Feeling

I finished project #3 for the month of October on Monday. Also, #3 of my 25 project goal. I started Trilogy's "Hop:Tall Trios" last night, which makes me feel a little guilty. I have one more ornament to stitch in order to meet my October goals, and I started something that isn't even on my list for the month. I would really like to meet all of my goals for the month, since I don't think I've been able to, so far this year. I know that I have enough time to stitch another ornament, but the entire time that I was working on "Hop" last night, I was thinking that I should be working on something else. Maybe I'll get the fabric ready for one of the Lizzie Kate Blessing Flip-Its. They stitch up pretty fast. I only have 3 more of the series to stitch, and they will all be done.

I'm happy that I've been able to do so well with my 25 project goal. I don't have my list of projects worked out yet, I've just been going through my stash closet and seeing what I have. The sad thing is, I could probably stitch 25 kits that I've had for years and not even make much of a dent in my kit stash.

October is starting out to be a great month. We've had a few family get togethers and the weather is gorgeous. I've done quiet well, in just the first week, to meet my October goals. It's amazing what you can get done, when the power knocks out your Internet for a couple of days. I'm just glad that it didn't get our dish - but then again, I have tons of television shows on dvd that would have kept me busy.

I've set a personal goal of stitching 25 projects, from my stash, before buying anything new. Luckily, I had ordered fabric and fibers for some of the 2006 JCS ornament issue the week before. I'm looking forward to putting a small dent in my mound of stash. I'm happy to report, that I've already stitched 2 of the 25!!

Hopefully, by my next post, I'll be able to cross another one off my list!

October...time for the leaves to change color, the air to feel crisp, hayrides, bon-fires, pumpkins and trick or treaters. One of my favorite months! I'm hoping to get a lot of stitching accomplished this month. DH will be working long hours soon, so that will leave Abby and I inside our nice, warm house while we wait for him to come in for the evening. We might even have homemade hot cocoa waiting for him a time or two. My stitching room should be finished in a few weeks and I'm really looking forward to getting it all set up and all my my stitching goodies organized. Organization is one thing my stitching items have been lacking the last few years. I'm so glad that we were able to move last year, I love all the extra space that we have now. I never would have been able to have a room completely devoted to my stitching in the old house. I've been reading a lot more this year that I have the last couple and it feels great! I have a huge stack of books that I'm looking forward to getting through this winter. Once harvest is finished, and the cold, snowy days and nights have started, we spend more time at home which is wonderful.

I'm setting a personal goal of updating my blog more than my once a month finishing post. I'm sure that I'm the only one reading it, but I would like to have more content than just one post a month.
