We've been so busy with Christmas, that I haven't had a chance to write an update. I haven't picked up a needle in a few days either. I'd like to finish the Homespun Elegance ornament this evening, but I think it's going to be a few days still. I got some great stash in the mail on Saturday. I'd placed an order with SanMan and on at an on-line shop, and they arrived on the same day. Now, I'm going to have to decide which new project to start first. I always start a project on New Year's Day, so I better finish the ornament and make up my mind.

Thursday, December 22

It's finished! I finished BC's Leaves Zipper yesterday afternoon. It turned out so cute. I started Homespun Elegance's ornament, Joyful Santa, from the 2004 JCS ornament issue last night. I have it about 1/4 done, it's stitching up really fast. I'm not looking forward to stitching with the Wisper threads, but I know that they are going to add a lot to the piece.

Wednesday, December 21

Today is the day! I'm going to finish Bent Creek's Leaves Zipper. I only have 2 leaves left to stitch, and it will be finished. So, that's my goal for the afternoon. While DH and I watch t.v. tonight, I'm going to start a Christmas ornament. I still haven't made my mind up as to which one yet though.

Yesterday was a fabulous mail day! I received the buttons for some of the ornaments that I plan on stitching out of the 2005 JCS ornament issue. I'm going to add the buttons to Lizzie Kate's Sweet Christmas later today. I also recieved 5 kits for ornaments that were in the 2004 & 2005 ornament issue. A shop has been kitting them up through the year, and they were having a great sale, so I couldn't resist. Once I finish Bent Creek's Leaves Zipper, which should be either today or tomorrow, I'm going to start one of the ornaments. The only bad part is, with getting 5 kits it's hard to decide which one should be first.

Welcome to my blog! I'm hoping to turn this into an on-line journal for my love of cross stitching. I worked on Bent Creek's Leaves Zipper today. I started it last night, and should have it done in the next day or so. I haven't had as much time to stitch the last couple of weeks due to getting ready for the holidays. I finished Brittercup's 2005 JCS ornament last night. It turned out really cute, now I need to find some backing material and and floss for cording.
